What to expect from the Gaming Industry in 2019
2018 just flew by and what a year it was! With inspiring and innovative Gaming Events worldwide, multiple next gen rumours from both Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox, and dramatic game releases; it definitely showed the world that the Gaming Industry is here to stay and has a huge impact globally with 1 Billion Gaming Tweets recorded last year alone.
But that’s enough about last year, it’s now time to look onwards and upwards at the upcoming months of 2019. So far, January has been an impressive month already with loads of new releases that feels like we have waited forever to play such as; Life Is Strange 2 – Episode 2: Rules, Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom of Hearts III.
Life Is Strange 2 – Episode 2: Rules
(Release Date: January 24, 2019)
This breath taking game not only pulls on your heart strings as it follows the story of two brothers; Sean (16) and Daniel Diaz (9), who are forced to run away from home after a tragic incident in Seattle in fear of the police. This gripping title will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat as you witness Sean’s influence on his little brother and the impact his decisions make on Daniel.
Resident Evil 2:
(Release Date: January 25, 2019)
Fear, zombies and virus’ awaits for you as S.T.A.R.S try to convict the Umbrella Corporation for their experiments with the T – Virus but are unsuccessful as the Umbrella Corporation decides to continue their experiments with the T – Virus in an underground Silo. But this is not a successful outcome as they botch up their experiments and leak their hazardous bioweapon into Raccoon City’s Sewage System. This ultimately means that it spreads throughout Racoon City, with many people fighting for their lives and turning into zombies.
Kingdom of Hearts III:
(Release Date: January 29, 2019)
We all remember the day that two major companies decided to collaborate on a rather special project now widely known as Kingdom of Hearts. It shouldn’t have worked but what Square Enix and Disney did creating Kingdom of Hearts was nothing short of phenomenal, with Donald Duck and Goofy at your side as Sora fighting against the Heartless. And as the franchise continues, we say hello to new characters along the way and this is no different with the latest instalment. Get ready to meet the beloved characters of; Toy Story, Big Hero 6 and Pirates of the Caribbean star: Jack Sparrow. Ultimately, meaning more adventures are afoot in the Disney Universe for you to explore.

Far Cry: New Dawn
(Release date: February 15, 2019)
Get ready to recruit new and interesting friends alongside the occasional new animal chums to get acquainted with in the post-apocalyptic follow up for Far Cry 5, set 17 years after Hope Valley was destroyed in the nuclear fire that we saw during the climax of the last instalment. It’s time to witness the story of how to fight, rebuild and survive in this new world with New Dawn. With a fresh colour palette and perhaps the return of the terrifying antagonist Father Joesph Seed, plenty of Mad Max style of weapons and vehicles, you will be glued to this game.

If you don’t know what Anthem is then where have you been? As one of the most anticipated games of this year; it’s clear to see why as you prepare to play in BioWares co-op mode to loot in this sci-fi shooter title. But that’s not the only reason why you should be excited; as the producer reveals customisation which is designed to meaningfully affect how you experience the story;

Yes, it has the same release date as Far Cry: New Dawn but that doesn’t mean that Far Cry should have all the attention. This epic story-driven first-person shooter from A4 Gamers shows you the importance of stealth as you explore this survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created. With our protagonist Artyom you can expect to protect the Metro and obsess with finding life beyond the tunnels, with a radio transceiver he is determined to establish communication with the outside world and prove there is life at the end of the tunnels.
We think this title has a lot of unique special features that have made it one of the most talked about games of last year; with numerous characters and in-depth care to the overall story arch, we would definitely recommend that you play it for yourself.
As you can see we have so far concluded what’s coming up game wise during January and February, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t even more BIG titles worth mentioning, because there are.
