Happy Birthday Fortnite!

Fortnite celebrated its first birthday yesterday (we can’t believe a whole YEAR has passed since the popular game took over the world) and it celebrated in a BIG way with a lot of new features; we are talking numerous cakes, and the bus has been decorated with streamers. Balloons and new music!

But that’s not all! Epic has also reintroduced Playground mode; where players have the freedom to link up in squads, experience the new ATK Kart which is coming onto the map and participating with a selection of birthday challenges. When and if completed, you will unlock a birthday – themed cosmetic set – which is achievable; all you have to do is play 14 matches, deal 1,000 damage to opponents, and dance by 10 birthday cakes.

A piece of cake right?

Without a shadow of a doubt; Epic has listened to what their players want and offer a wide variety of options for you to delve into and included a huge feature to keep you interested such as;

The compact SMG is here with its high capacity, fast – firing firearm that excels when put to the test with close range combat.

Prefer to play Save the World Campaign?

Well don’t worry; Epic hasn’t forgotten about you! There will be a new set of quests where you will be able to have the chance to unlock a birthday – themed llama with event tickets earned throughout the quests.

We advise you to keep an eye out though! As there are still hidden surprises in the game including an Easter egg that memorialises a viral clip about a rescue mission that goes awry.

Let us know what you think about the new features that Epic have released via our Twitter and/or Facebook pages.
