Keyboard & Mouse Support on Minecraft and Fortnite

Recently got your hands on our new LED Light Up Bundle? Fantastic! Here’s a quick guide on your Keyboard and Mouse Controls and what they do in two of the most popular games out to date –

Fortnite

Upon connecting your Wired Keyboard and Mouse to your chosen device, i.e. Desktop PC, Laptop or Console, the default Keyboard and Mouse controls will automatically be set within the game and will function as follows –

Move Up, Down, Left, Right – WASD
Cursor Mode – Left Alt/Right Alt
Jump – Space Bar
Fire – Left Mouse Button
Aim Down Sight (ADS) – Right Mouse Button
Reload – R
Use – E
Trap Equip/Picker – T
Edit Building – G
Repair/Upgrade – F
Rotate Building – R
Sprint – Left Shift
Change Building Material – Right Mouse Button
Reset Building Edit – Right Mouse Button
Weapons Slots – 1, 2, 3, 4
Ability Slots – 5, 6, 7
Gadget Slots – 8, 9
Building Slots – F1, F2, F3, F4
Trap Slot – F5
Switch Quickbar – Q
Slot Up – Mouse Wheel Up
Slot Down – Mouse Wheel Down
Chat – Enter
Emote – B
Place a Note – N
Spot Target – Middle Mouse Button
Selected Building Type – V
Toggle Map – M
Toggle Inventory – I
Skip Cutscene – Space Bar
Resurrect – Left Mouse Button
Respawn – Right Mouse Button
Crouch – Left Ctrl
Push To Talk – Y

Should you wish to change/rebind the standard controls from within a match, simply press the ESC key on your Keyboard.
Otherwise if outside a match and during normal gameplay, then access the gear icon which will bring up the Settings menu.

From here, simply select the Arrow Keys icon to access your Mouse and Keyboard settings in order to rebind your controls to whatever you’re comfortable with!

Minecraft

Upon connecting your Wired Keyboard and Mouse to your chosen device, i.e. Desktop PC, Laptop or Console, the default Keyboard and Mouse controls will automatically be set within the game and will function as follows –

Moving around –

W – Move forward
A – Move to the left
S – Move backward
D – Move to the right
CONTROL – Sprint

SPACEBAR

• Jump by pressing space bar when walking.
• Hop to the block in front of you up by pressing space bar and W at the same time.
Hint: This is great for moving up staircases.
• When swimming, space bar will bring you to the surface.
Hint: When playing in Survival mode, you can’t hold your breath under water forever! Use the space bar to catch a breath.
• Fly in Creative mode by pressing space bar twice
• Use these tips when trying to get somewhere quickly:
• Press space bar once more and you’ll levitate upwards.
• Press space bar twice again to drop back to the ground.

SHIFT

• When on the ground, press shift to crouch down and sneak.
• When in the air (Creative mode), press shift to fly downwards.

Mouse controls –

Left Mouse Button – Attack/Destroy
Middle Mouse Button – Pick block. In Creative mode, “2” will place a copy of the target block in your Hotbar.
Right Mouse Button – Use item/place block

Other useful buttons

ESC – Returns you to the menu and then back to the game.
Q – Drops the item you are carrying.
E – Opens and closes your inventory. In creative mode, you can view all the building blocks at your disposal this way.
C – Opens Code Builder.
T – Opens the chat window. Press ENTER to send message.
/ – Opens the chat window with a / already typed. This is handy to quickly enter commands.
1-9 – Selects the appropriate slot in the Hotbar.
F1 – Toggles the interface visibility. This is handy when you want to take a screenshot.
F5 – Changes your player perspective. Toggle to select from the following: First Person → Third Person Rear → Third Person → back to First Person

Changing Your Settings

If these keyboard settings are non-intuitive, you can change and rebind them to your preference. To modify any or all of these settings:
• Press ESC to return to the menu.
• Select Settings
• Scroll down to Controls and click on the desired interface.
Modify as needed – if you make a mistake or want to go back, you can find the reset button to change everything back at the bottom of the list.
No need to save, the settings are updated automatically. Find out what works best for you!
