Realistically, in the late 90s and early 2000s, they had great Pokemon games for GB and GBA, but that was a different time with different appetites. The last few titles from this team suggested that the moment had come to move on to new tasks, or that they wanted "something new and something wild." For all of you who expected Game Freak to make new Pokemon games just on other platforms with the same mechanics and "more serious graphics," you might be disappointed.

This is also true for returning to old video games, whether in their original or remastered edition. In the case of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, that return to a familiar adventure resulted in an even better game. As the saying goes, Black Flag has matured like fine wine over the past 12 years.

Just when I thought it was another pointless hype phrase and decided to quit, that famous scene rolled out, catapulting the entire series into mainstream popularity. From framing and explosion of violence to the closing credits, less than three minutes passed, enough to make me a fan.

Now that Replaced is finally here, the theme of the game is more relevant than ever before, because AI technology is increasingly leaving the realm of fiction and becoming our everyday reality. Not a day goes by without someone mentioning how we could be replaced by artificial intelligence. ​
