Top 10 Games To Play This Summer 2019
Summer is here Gamers! And with that comes those long summer nights that you use to play with your friends, family and/or partners. But with those long hours comes repetitiveness (sometimes) which is why we are going to recommend our Top 10 Favourite Games that will give you that Summer feeling!
No. 10 – Pokemon Go
During those nice and hot summer days, you want to get out of the house and this game brings the best of both – go on adventures around the world searching for the most prestigious Pokemon or just to take a walk with your fellow Pokemon trainers.
Which is why it is kicking off our Summer list of games to play in 2019!
No.9 – Team Sonic Racing
Who doesn’t love a bit of Sega and Sonic? This feel good game that will take you back to your childhood is a highly recommended multiplayer game from us (you can still play solo – but multiplayer is really really fun, plus you can gain buffs from helping your teammates succeed).
With twenty-one tracks; you won’t get bored easily and if you are a big fan of high speeding car games then you really need to try this one out.
No. 8 – The Sims 4
It may not be a game for everybody but Sims 4 expansion packs have seriously got it going on right now. Sit back and relax for days as you fully immerse yourself into this simulation. And if you ever wanted to go away and experience some magic – you can turn into a mermaid or meet some dolphins with the Island expansion pack which is newly released.
We found it fun just escape from the madness of real life in this award-winning game!
No. 7 – Mortal Kombat 11
Get ready to fight for your life with this EPIC game. If you haven’t played Mortal Kombat before then you are in for a real treat and if it was a part of your childhood as it was ours then you know already why this is definitely a game to play with your friends. Continuing the saga through a new cinematic story that is more than 25 years old!
You will be able to pick your champion fighter from past and present characters in the time-bending story arch created by NetherRealm Studios, QLOC, and Shiver.
With all-new custom character variation systems and a whopping rooster. You will not be getting bored any time soon as you can easily spend hours (like us) customising fighters via their Skins, Gear, Special Abilities, Intro and Victory Cinemas, Taunts and Brutalities that is earned via Gameplay.
No. 6 – Kingdom Hearts III
The best Summers are the ones you share with friends and create memories, voicing the epitome of friendship is Kingdom Hearts III; as you join Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their magical adventure and unite with other iconic Disney – Pixar characters old and new to overcome tremendous challenges and preserve against the darkness which is a constant threat to their worlds.
And with a lot of worlds to explore (you will be a Disney expert by the time you are finished playing) such as;
Big Hero 6
Pirates of the Caribbean
No. 5 – Apex Legends
The LEGENDARY Battle Royale game that took the gaming industry by storm earlier this year as the biggest competitor of Fortnite.
So why is it so successful?
The Titanfall Universe which drops you has a different feel compared to Fornite and requires that pivotal teamwork which is the reason why we play Battle Royales, to begin with.
One Squad member is designated “Jumpmaster” which defaults you and your squad to land together – again highlighting the teamwork from the very start that offers something different from Fortnite.
But that’s not all that Apex Legends offers against Fortnite or PUBG – it is actually harder to kill someone in Apex Legends, enforcing interplayer coordination that becomes pivotal in any battle and then there is the respawn factor which often becomes the reason why you become frustrated with other battle royale games (we know we do!) is the fact you can die pretty much straight away so its good that you can respawn your allies as quick as you can!
No.4 – Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
We mentioned that we LOVE Racing games right? Well, we just had to include Crash Team Nitro-Fueled as it fulfills both our need for nostalgic gameplay and cars! Seated comfortably in the driving seat, we throttled forward to the finishing line.
We highly recommend that pass a few hours away with this authentic Crash Team Racing experience that brings the characters, karts, tracks, and arenas to you. With extremely good expressions from Crash and friends as they blast each other with power-ups and whiz around the corners in all the original racetracks.
What can you expect to see in terms of the race track?
You can expect to see Adventure. Arcade Single Race and Cup Race. Along with Time Trials and Battle Mode – and if you really want you can play Single Player or vs. friends both on and offline as Crash, Coco, Dr. Neo Cortex and much more! So why not whirl around the race track today?
No.3 – Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Who doesn’t love a good ole FPS, in the dark at 2am in the morning? Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 just had to be on our Summertime list and for good reason too;
• You can play as fan favourite characters
• It gives you the ultimate all-out – survival and elimination experience
• The option to play Multiplayer
• THE ZOMBIES!
• Battle Royale Option
So if you can see yourself wanting to play some games until the early hours of the morning then get your battle station ready because once you start Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 it will take you AGES to put it down. Trust us.
No.2 – Red Dead Redemption
Even though this title was released a while ago; it has definitely become one of our most go to games. Join John’s gang buddy; Arthur Morgan with the notorious – the game follows the gangs decline as they are pursued by lawmen, fellow gangs and Pinkerton agents.
With this open world, you can explore the American Regions, and see the epically beautiful landscapes. Do more than you have ever done before with the choice to go fishing, hunting, playing poker, blackjack or dominoes as you embark on your journey.
The beauty of this breathtaking title is the fact that it is very well balanced as you can fight with lawmen and other guys, whilst exploring the vast open-world with more options than ever before and keeping your camp ticking over.
And with the ability to extend your gameplay time from the 60 hours completion time to 80 hours or more! At least you definitely won’t be bored!
No.1 – Rage 2
When we think of Summer, we think of lots of Neon Colours and high action which is why we would HIGHLY recommend that you play Rage 2 (if you haven’t already). Explore the meteor hit and chaotic society which has arisen from the ashes of the old one.
Play as Walker, the last Ranger, who possesses Nanotrite technology in their body that grants them the equivalent of superpowers.
Get ready for Big Guns, Superpowers, and some cool vehicles that allow you to travel the open-world wasteland.
We just knew that when we played Rage 2 the first time around it would soon become one of our Summer favourites.
So, that concludes our Summer Gaming list of 2019 however, we want to know what you think – have we missed any of your favourites?
